BE CREATIVE - BE YOURSELF
Music Gestalt Coaching by Ludwig C. Pfingsten, Music Gestalt Therapist (IGG)
Psychological counseling in a dialogue with Gestalt therapist and music therapist Ludwig C. Pfingsten. Gestalt therapy and music Gestalt therapy are proven and effective methods.
My particular focus is on psychological counseling for individuals in periods of transition. After completing their studies, students are leaving their parental home increasingly later for financial reasons. This delays their development toward responsible independence.
I aim to serve as a companion and guide throughout this process. During times of transition—including before or after exams or concerts—Gestalt therapy can be highly beneficial.
Now, a few words regarding the therapeutic method of Gestalt therapy.
This humanistic approach is considered in the USA to be one of the methods with the highest level of effectiveness (1.12 – 1.42 Brownell 2014), depending on the type of disorder.
Nevertheless, even the physicians among us (of which I am not one) are unfortunately not permitted to bill insurance for these services. I have completed 4.5 years of training and am thus well-prepared to facilitate even complex processes. However, I am neither a physician nor a psychologist.
The following restrictions apply: I am prohibited from providing prescriptions or recommendations for any type of medication. If you believe you are suffering from an acute psychological disorder, please consult a psychiatrist first. This does not mean that I cannot work with you; once everything has been clarified, you are welcome to join me.
Do not worry; it is not necessary to sing or play perfectly. Music serves two primary functions here. Receptive music therapy establishes direct contact with your physical self. It can have a particularly relaxing and organizing effect, providing stability and security so that you can recover and find your center.
Dialogue at eye level is the modern way to solve problems, whether in a partnership, at work, or in a hobby.
And when words fail us, we can communicate through music. No one needs to possess great musical skills. Often, the way we strike a drum or a glockenspiel says more than a thousand words.
Active music therapy offers you the opportunity to express yourself emotionally on instruments that are easy to play.
As a musician with a correspondingly performance-oriented childhood, I understand the challenges that await young professionals as well as musical retirees.
I primarily focus on overcoming creative blocks, as well as obstacles in interpersonal communication. This allows you to recognize your own feelings, while the therapist provides musical feedback in return.

Gestalt therapy is my background. Nevertheless, my service is not to be understood as psychological psychotherapy. It is not a substitute for psychological or psychiatric therapies. For people who have experienced psychological crises, I offer guidance for self-help groups.
This Music Gestalt Therapy service is solely intended to allow the flow of contact with oneself, with other people, or with artistic activity to resume.
